Thelma’s Soul Kitchen was opened by Henry Kelly in loving remembrance of his Aunt Thelma Tinsley, the matriarch of his family. Aunt Thelma was the heart and soul of every family gathering, the one who brought order and comfort while feeding everyone with meals that touched their souls. Her kitchen was a place of laughter, warmth, and togetherness, where every dish was seasoned with love and every meal was an opportunity to connect.
Aunt Thelma believed that family time was sacred. No matter how busy life got, she made sure her family sat down together, away from distractions, to share a meal and stories. In today’s world of electronics and long days, Henry wants to keep that tradition alive. He created Thelma’s Soul Kitchen to give families—whether it’s your work family, your friend family, or your natural family—a reason to gather, reconnect, and make memories over soul food that nourishes both body and spirit.
Every dish we serve is inspired by Aunt Thelma’s legacy and her belief that food is love made visible. We invite you to let Thelma’s Soul Kitchen be a part of your next gathering and help bring your people closer together.
